My oldest daughter loves taking pictures lately. We were talking about what we were thankful for this morning when she asked to take a picture. I asked her if she would like to take some pictures of things she was thankful for.
"Yes! That's a great idea, Mommy. I'm thankful for my bunk bed. I'm going to take a picture of that!"
After she was done taking hundreds of pictures (lol) we went to the computer and I asked her to pick three that she wanted to print out. She chose her bunk bed, a dolphin that she sleeps with, and our dog. We didn't make the cut! LOL After we printed them out I gave her a couple different options of what we could do with them. She chose to make a t-shirt.
Materials:
Camera
Inkjet Printer
White shirt
Transfer paper
Iron
Let your child take pictures of things they are thankful for. Print the pictures out on transfer paper. Using a hot iron, transfer the image to shirt.
I purchased the transfer paper from Michaels Craft Store. It is called Jolee's Easy Image.
Taking pictures
Cutting out the pictures
Peeling off the backing. Her favorite part!
Ironing on image. Make sure you have some sort of pillow case, small towel, etc. underneath the shirt to protect your table as well.
"Look, it's my dolphin!!!!!!"
More peeling fun.
This is what we have so far. I told her we can add more each day
Back of t-shirt. I'm sure we will fill the back up as well. Make sure you put something between the front and back before you iron on your image... or the images on the front will melt.
"Can I put it on, Mommy?!"
