My 16M old loves getting into the spice cabinet. Instead of constantly turning off her curiosity I made her a spice basket that she was fully allowed to explore. The spices included spices we had excess of and a few I picked up at the dollar store. We decided to do Spice Art today. The spices consisted of: pizza seasoning, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, minced onion, sesame seeds, and parsley flakes.
What does this one smell like?

If you have a dumper and pourer this is a great activity. She loved shaking these.
Next time I will put the piece of paper inside a rimmed cookie sheet or something similar. We did manage to save most of it and put it back into the shaker.
